These Ham and Swiss Sliders are nothing new or inventive, but for busy nights like tonight they work perfectly for our family. We have 2 kids at a night volleyball camp and another with a late afternoon shift at work…I think we’ve all been there!.
These sandwiches are even a good option if you feel like cooking tonight and not again for a few days, just make a bunch of sandwiches and tuck them away in the fridge until later. It’s easy to wrap them up individually and heat them as you need them. Put them with a salad or cut fruit and all you’re set for dinner without spending hours in the kitchen – or trying to make dinner 3 separate times!
We go a little lighter on the poppy seeds than most recipes out there (something about lots of little black seeds on the rolls turn the stomachs of some of my kids) and my husband and I like to put caramelized onions on ours. But that’s also what I love about these, so easy to customize for personal tastes…you like onions, pile them on; you like cheddar instead of Swiss, no problem.
I hope they can save you from the stress of a busy night too!
