Cherry Limeade is a summertime favorite for good reason! It’s sweet, citrusy, and with only 4 ingredients, it comes together fast. This drink will take your next cookout to a whole new level. Disclaimer: I sometimes drink Cherry Limeade with a bowl of chips and this Dip and call it a meal. Lazy summer days are made for Cherry Limeade!
Four Ingredients
All that stands between you and the perfect glass of Cherry Limeade is four ingredients!
The hardest part of making Cherry Limeade is juicing the limes. Other than that, it’s just a little stirring and pouring. Easy! And if you have some little helpers who are eager to help with dinner, juicing limes is a great job for them.
I wish I could give you an exact number of limes that you will need, but it really depends on the size of your limes and how juicy they are. But I highly recommend fresh limes, versus the bottled juice. There are so few ingredients in this drink, I like to make sure each of the ingredients is the best it can be.
Combine the lime juice, cherries with their juice, and sugar in the bottom of a large drink dispenser or pitcher. Stir unti the sugar is dissolved.
To the cherry and lime mixture, add the lemon-lime soda, lime slices, and ice. Serve immediately!
Cherry Limeade
1 (2 liter) bottle of lemon-lime soda
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice (about 8 large limes)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
One 10-ounce jar maraschino cherries, with juice
Thin lime slices
Directions
Chill all of the ingredients (except sugar).
Right before serving the limeade, combine lime juice, sugar, and the cherries with their juice. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the lemon-lime soda and stir until combined. Add lime slices, ice, and serve immediately. Enjoy!!
